HYDRAULICS
I
Purpose
This course is designed to give participants the knowledge and practical
skills to check hydraulic system components, and identify, repair and
replace faulty components.
Hydraulic system components are identified inspected and
assessed using fluid power principles to predetermined specifications
from data sheets and circuit diagrams.
Pre requisites
There are no pre requisites for this course.
Course Content
The Hydraulics I training plan is derived from the Nationally Recognised
unit of competency within the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF):
MEM18020B Maintain hydraulic system components
- Hydraulic safety, principles, seals, fluid connectors and symbols
and circuit diagrams
- Hydraulic actuators – linear actuators, rotary actuator motors,
hydraulic actuator calculations
- Hydraulic pumps – gear pumps, vane pumps, piston pumps
- Hydraulic control valves – directional control valves, check
valves, flow control valves
- Hydraulic pressure control valves - relief, unloading, sequence, counterbalance,
brake, pressure reducing valves
- Practical assessments and demonstrations
- Appropriate calculations
- Fault finding
Certification
Australia & Batam
Competent candidates will be awarded a Statement of Attainment and awarded
MEM18020B Maintain hydraulic system components as part of a MEM40105
Certificate IV in Engineering (Fluid Power).
